Want to rewind a portion of a video and play it again for your viewers? The nicest way to do it is to play the clip backwards. Luckily, it's pretty easy to do in Sony Vegas.

This trick applies to all versions of Sony Vegas, including the Movie Studio edition.

To play an event backwards, or reverse the clip others might say, select the event on the timeline and right-click it. Next, press the Reverse option from the context menu and wait a couple of seconds for Vegas to complete the task for you.

After the clip is reversed, a tiny left-arrow will appear alongside the modified event. That's it! Your clip is now being played backwards.
