How to Install New Gadgets in Windows 7

Gadgets in Windows 7 can enhance your user experience and deliver quick information such as stock quotes or current weather conditions.

To install new gadgets in Windows 7, right-click on an empty area on your desktop and select Gadgets. In the gadgets window click the Get more gadgets online link, which will redirect you to the Microsoft's official gadget library.

Click the Get more desktop gadgets... link beneath the official gadgets icons to browse through the Windows Live Gadgets gallery. There are thousands of gadgets there you can choose from.

Once you've found your gadget, read its reviews and if you feel this is a trustworthy software, click the Download button. A warning will pop-up saying that this is an "Unverified submission". Don't worry about this warning pop-up, it displays alongside every single gadget in this library. Now click Install > Open > Install.

Your new gadget is installed and ready to use.
