How to Check Image Dimensions on a Website

Sometimes you might want to check dimensions of an image that is displayed on a website, because you want to make an image of the same size by your own.

For example, you might want to create image or photo for Twitter or YouTube that has exactly the size it is displayed on their website. Of course, you can create image of any size that fits within the KB limit and then upload it in hope that Twitter will resample it nicely, but results are often of low quality. It's always the best idea to avoid resampling and create an image with original dimensions.

To create such an image, you must check its dimensions as it is displayed on the website. To do so, visit a website, e.g. Twitter, go to your Profile and switch to the Picture tab. Now right-click the default icon you've been assigned with and select Properies. Locate the line Dimensions or Image Dimensions and read the pixels count. It is 48px x 48px for Twitter.

That's it, you can now create your own original-sized picture, so that resampling won't distort your work.
