Apple iWork '08

All three applications are bundled in iWork '08 for leaner data exchange and increased productivity. With the suite you can create appealing text documents, stunning video presentations and powerful spreadsheets.

All Pages, Keynote and Numbers applications included in Apple iWork support either imports or exports of industry-leading file formats including Microsoft Office so that transferring your work between Mac and PC is an absolute breeze.
Pages

Pages is a feature-rich word processor included in Apple iWork '08. The application comes with 140 built-in templates allowing you to create large text writing, brochures, leaflets, booklets, newsletters, letters, resumes and reports that look elegant and neat.

The built-in media explorer allows you to browse video, images and other media files directly from your Aperture or iPhoto repositories. Once you've found your photo, just drag and drop it into your document to embed the file. Pages allows you to set text flow around these embedded objects easily using the Wrap feature.

Enrich your text document with tables and calculation cells – Pages allows you to insert tables right into your document, format and fill them with numbers with a few clicks.

Charts are easily to insert too. Pages lets you inject impressive 3D or 2D charts right into your text where you can select between a couple of options to present your data: a column, pie, bar, line or other types of charts are available. Give your charts a fancy touch by applying texture, shadows or rotation.

Apple iWork's Pages '08 comes with native support for many popular text file formats including all industry-leading formats. Create, export and import your documents without compatibility constraints. Pages can import Microsoft Office 2007 format which is XML, as well as previous versions of Word formats. Not only text, but all content included in the documents will be successfully imported that is tables, charts, headings, footnotes, bookmarks, embedded objects and so forth. With Pages '08 you can also access opens RTF and AppleWorks files. A variety of media formats is supported included but not limited to MP3, MOV, AIFF, AAC (audio/video), GIF, PSD, JPEG, PNG (image formats) and PDF.

Edited files may be exported to PDF, RTF, Word or plain text documents.
Numbers

Numbers is the Mac's most popular spreadsheet application included in the Apple iWork '08 too. Numbers lets you create financial reports, budgets, complex and simple spreadsheet files and more.

You can input and calculate your data in a more automated way using the intelligent tables system, format cells and tables using automatic formatting, adjust text, column width and do more adjustments.

Every table is easy to sort, add new rows and columns, reference tabs or to delete data from. The table Format Bar offers lets you format your table in just a couple of clicks.

Divide your spreadsheet into multiple tables that act as independent calculation units. Every table you create is an independent, fully configurable spreadsheet unit that you can put in a separate "canvas".

iWork's Numbers includes over 35 templates that can quickly create stunning presentations for you based on your spreadsheet data. You can narrate your presentations using the voice recording utility that is included in this software. Arrange text, tables, charts and embedded media files such as pictures, movies and music using alignment rulers and guides.

Like Pages, Numbers supports 3D and 2D charts too. Your charts can be enriched by included textures and autoformat styles.

To ensure cross-platform compatibility, Apple's Numbers supports Microsoft Office Excel 2007 spreadsheet format that is widely known as Office Open XML. Compatibility with Open Financial Exchange is ensured – simply drag and drop your data onto your Numbers table to instantly use it. Previous versions of Excel are also supported. Exporting your files should be a no-hassle process too: Excel .xls, PDF and CSV formats are supported for export.

Numbers allows you to add contact information from your Address Book. Simply drag and drop your contacts from Mac's Address Book straight into Numbers.

Avoid printing errors by viewing your document in the print preview before you actually print. Numbers allows you to adjust margins, text size and other properties to fit your spreadsheet to your page settings.
